Strongsville Ohio Deck Installation

 

This deck was built in Strongsville, Ohio in the fall of 2006.  The deck was constructed with pressure treated lumber for the posts, composite decking for the deck and the rail and privacy screen were contracted with vinyl.

Composite decking is a newer material that is gaining in popularity.  The best thing I can say about it is how it feels walking across the deck barefoot. It's smooth with no risk of splinters.  Since it's made from a composite material its lifespan is significantly longer than traditional pressure treated lumber. Furthermore there's no maintenance involved with deck sealing. A task that is not only time consumer but very expensive as the best deck sealant products are quite expensive per gallon. The white vinyl railing and privacy screen provide an attractive contrast against the tan colored composite deck.  The contrast of white deck railing and a darker colored composite deck is increasingly becoming a popular choice on decks.

Another aspect of this Strongsville Ohio deck is the vinyl privacy screen. The Strongsville homeowners wanted privacy and since the home is new construction there is very little privacy afforded by shrubbery and landscaping.  In this way, the homeowner can enjoy private dinners and entertainment on the deck instantly.
